DeAndra' Cobb is a former American football player. He was a talented running back. He was born on May 18, 1981. The Atlanta Falcons picked him in the 2005 NFL draft. He played college football for the Michigan State Spartans. Cobb also played for other teams. These included the Jacksonville Jaguars, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Montreal Alouettes.

Early Life and High School Sports
DeAndra' Cobb grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He went to Clark High School. There, he was a star in two sports. He played football and ran track.
In track, he was very fast. He finished second in the 100 meters race. This was at the 1999 Nevada Class 4A Championships. He ran his fastest 100 meters in just 10.4 seconds. Cobb graduated from Clark High School in 1999.
College Football Star
Cobb played college football for the Michigan State Spartans. He was known as one of the best kickoff returners. He returned four kickoffs for touchdowns. This happened in just 24 games.
As a junior, he set a Michigan State record. He returned three kickoffs for touchdowns in one season. This also tied an NCAA Division I record. Because of his amazing skills, he earned first-team All-America honors.
Professional Football Journey
NFL Teams
The Atlanta Falcons chose DeAndra' Cobb in the sixth round. This was during the 2005 NFL draft. He joined the team in 2005. However, the Falcons released him before the 2006 season.
Later, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Cobb. This was on December 22, 2006. But he never played a game for them. The Jaguars released him soon after.
Canadian Football League (CFL)
Cobb then moved to the Canadian Football League (CFL). He signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on May 29, 2009. He was released briefly. But he was re-signed to their practice team.
His first professional game was on July 10, 2009. The Ti-Cats won against the BC Lions. Cobb had a great game. He ran for 110 yards. He also caught 5 passes for 75 yards. One catch was a 48-yard touchdown. This helped Hamilton win 31–28. It was their first win of the season. He was named the CFL's offensive player of the week.
Cobb was a strong runner for the Ticats. He rushed for over 1,000 yards in both seasons. He had 1,207 yards in 2009 and 1,173 yards in 2010. The Tiger-Cats released him on March 1, 2011.
After Hamilton, Cobb signed with the Montreal Alouettes. This happened on March 18, 2011. Sadly, he got injured during training camp. The Alouettes released him on July 12.
Life After Football
After his football career, DeAndra' Cobb started a new path. He now works as a Physical Education teacher. He teaches at Somerset Academy in Henderson, Nevada.
