DeBordieu Colony, also known as DeBordieu Beach or simply DeBordieu, is a special private community in Georgetown County, South Carolina, United States. It's a place where people live that is not officially a city or town, but it is counted as a census-designated place (CDP) for population surveys.
This community covers about 2,700 acres (which is about 11 square kilometers) of land. A big part of this land, around 800 acres, is a protected area for wildlife that people can't easily get to. Some parts of DeBordieu are even on an island called Debidue Island.
DeBordieu is located by the ocean, south of Pawleys Island and north of Georgetown. It's a gated community, which means it has controlled entrances. It also has its own private golf course and country club for residents.
It was first officially listed as a CDP in the 2020 census. At that time, its population was 858 people.
