It's famous for DeGray Lake, which is huge, covering 13,800 acres! The park also has Arkansas's only state park resort and a fantastic 18-hole golf course.
The United States Army Corps of Engineers started building DeGray Dam on the Caddo River in 1963. People soon realized this would be a great spot for a state park. So, the park was officially created in 1974. The resort and golf course were added by 1975, making it a wonderful place for visitors.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park offers many exciting activities. It's perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors! You can go fishing, swimming, or water skiing. There are also trails for biking, hiking, and horseback riding. If you love being on the water, you can enjoy boating.
The park has courts for basketball and tennis. If you want to stay overnight, there are 113 campsites for tents and RVs. The park's marina offers many services. You can rent boat slips, party barges, or smaller boats. They also have paddle boats, canoes, paddleboards, and kayaks. Picnic tables are all over the park. There's also a special Caddo Bend Day-Use Area and a private pavilion for groups.
The Resort and Golf Course
The DeGray Lodge is a big building with 94 rooms. It also has a convention center. This is a great spot for family reunions, special events, or meetings. You can even have beautiful lakeside weddings here! Inside the lodge, you'll find the Shoreline Restaurant. There's also the DeGray Day Spa, a place to relax.
DeGray's golf course is very challenging. It has 18 holes and stretches for about 7,100 yards (6,500 meters). As you play, you might see many birds and other wildlife. The first nine holes have wide fairways. They also have tricky greens that go up and down. Watch out for hidden water! The back nine holes are carved out of the woods. This means there's not much room for shots that go off course.
The golf course has a driving range where you can practice. There's also a practice green and a chipping area. You can even take lessons to improve your game! The Pro Shop sells snacks, rents carts and clubs, and has golf equipment. You can also find many brand-name golf clothes and accessories there.
