DeVon Michael Hardin (born August 7, 1986) is a former professional basketball player from America. He played as a power forward and center. DeVon is quite tall at 6 feet 11 inches (211 cm) and weighed about 235 pounds (107 kg). In 2008, the Seattle SuperSonics picked him in the NBA draft.

Playing Basketball in High School
DeVon Hardin played basketball at Newark Memorial High School in Newark, California. In his final year, he was a star player. He scored about 13 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and blocked over 4 shots per game. Because of his great skills, he was named one of the best players in the Bay Area. Many people thought he was one of the top power forwards in the country in 2004.
Playing Basketball in College
After high school, DeVon went to the University of California, Berkeley. He played basketball for the Golden Bears for all four years of college. He studied social welfare while he was there. In 2007, he thought about joining the NBA draft early, but he decided to stay in college for another year.
DeVon's Professional Basketball Journey
DeVon Hardin was chosen as the 50th player overall in the 2008 NBA draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. Unfortunately, he got a leg injury called a stress fracture, which stopped him from joining training camp right away.
In January 2009, DeVon joined a Greek basketball team called Aigaleo. Before that, he had been with a Turkish team but had to leave because his injury was still bothering him.
Later in 2009, DeVon's draft rights were part of a trade to the New Orleans Hornets. However, the trade didn't go through.
He continued his career playing for different teams. In 2010, he played for the Philadelphia 76ers in a summer league. Then, he signed with Elitzur Yavne in Israel.
DeVon also played in many other countries. In 2011, he played for teams in Belarus and Turkey. He then moved to South America, playing for teams in Venezuela and Argentina. He also played in Qatar and China.
In 2014, DeVon joined a Brazilian team called Paulistano. While playing in Brazil, he won the Brazilian All-Star Slam Dunk contest in 2014, which is a big achievement for a player!
His last professional team was Barako Bull Energy in the Philippines, where he played in 2015.
