How Water Flows In and Out
The main river flowing into De Lesseps Lake is the De Lesseps River. This river enters the lake from the southwest side. The same river also flows out of the lake from the north.
After leaving De Lesseps Lake, the river continues its journey. It flows into Miniss Lake. From there, the water travels through the Miniss River. It then reaches Lake St. Joseph. Finally, the water joins the Albany River and flows into James Bay. This entire path is called a drainage basin. It means all the water in this area eventually drains into James Bay.
