Deathsmiles II: Makai no Merry Christmas is an exciting bullet hell video game created by the company Cave. It first came out in 2009. This game is special because it's one of the few "shoot 'em up" games from Cave that uses a wide, horizontal screen.

Deathsmiles II was also the first arcade game from Cave to use 3D graphics, called polygons, instead of their usual 2D pictures, known as sprites. Later, a collection of Deathsmiles I and Deathsmiles II was released for modern game consoles like PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in Japan in December 2021.

A "platinum edition" was released in 2011, offering another chance for fans to get the game. Later, the Japanese version of the game became available in the US through the "Games on Demand" online store in 2011.
