Deer Creek is a small village located in Illinois, a state in the United States. It's special because it's in two different counties: Tazewell and Woodford. In 2020, about 667 people lived there. Deer Creek is also part of the larger Peoria area.

History of Deer Creek
Deer Creek was started in 1830. It got its name from a creek that flowed through the area. Red deer used to roam the nearby woods and would come to this creek for water.
The village's location has changed a few times since it was founded. It moved from a spot called Chaffer's Corner to New Castle, then to Belmont, and finally to where it is today.
