Dex Lee is an English actor who was born on May 16, 1993. He started his career as a dancer in a play called Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. After that, he began acting in many theatre shows. In 2019, Dex Lee appeared on TV for the first time in the BBC show Doctors, where he played the character Bear Sylvester. He was on Doctors until 2024, and then he went back to performing in theatre.

Early Life and Training
Dex Lee was born in Edmonton, London. He has a younger sister, Miriam-Teak Lee, who is also an actress, and four brothers. Dex and his sister went to the same schools: the Latymer School, the Morgan Aslanoff School of Dance, and the ArtsEd. They were dance partners and competed in many dance contests together. After Dex finished his studies at ArtsEd in 2014, he worked as a dance teacher in Chiswick.

Starting as a Dancer
From 2012 to 2013, Dex Lee was a dancer in a play called Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This was his first professional role.
First Acting Roles
In 2014, Dex Lee started his acting career in a play called In the Heights at the Southwark Playhouse. Later that year, he performed in The Scottsboro Boys in London's West End. He also recorded music for the London cast album of that show.
In 2016, Dex Lee played a special role as Odyssey the dog in a play called Father Comes Home from the Wars. A reviewer from A Younger Theatre said that Dex Lee was amazing. They wrote that he truly acted like a dog without being silly. The reviewer also praised his voice work, saying he made the dog's feelings clear without just copying a dog's sounds. This made his part very memorable.
Moving to Television
In 2017, Dex Lee was in another West End show, The Wild Party, where he played Jackie. A reviewer from A Younger Theatre described his performance as "full of energy" and "very confident."
Dex Lee continued to act in stage shows until 2019. He then decided he wanted to try acting on television. He got a role in the BBC soap opera Doctors. This was his first time acting on TV. He started filming Doctors on June 26, 2019. His first episode aired on November 18, 2019, where he played Bear Sylvester. Dex Lee stayed on Doctors until its very last episode in November 2024.
After Doctors ended, Dex Lee returned to theatre. He was cast as Toulouse-Lautrec in the musical Moulin Rouge! at the Piccadilly Theatre.
