Dina Eastwood, born Dina Marie Ruiz on July 11, 1965, is an American reporter, news anchor, and actress. She is also known as the former wife of famous actor and director Clint Eastwood.
Dina co-hosted the TV show Candid Camera from 2001 to 2004. She also had her own reality TV show called Mrs. Eastwood & Company in 2012, which showed parts of her life.

Early Life and Learning
Where Dina Grew Up
Dina Marie Ruiz was born in Castro Valley, California. Her father, Michael Ruiz, was a math teacher and wrestling coach. He was adopted by a Spanish and Puerto Rican couple when he was a baby. Dina grew up in Fremont, California. She has a younger brother named Dominic.
Dina's College Journey
After finishing Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, Dina went to several colleges. She started at Ohlone College, a community college in her hometown, in 1983. While there, she was a news anchor for the college's TV station. She also studied briefly at Arizona State University. In 1988, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State University. Later, in 2017, she earned a master's degree in creative writing from San Jose State University.
Dina's Career
Starting as a Reporter
In 1990, Dina started her career as a reporter for KNAZ-TV in Flagstaff, Arizona. She later became a news anchor there. In January 1991, she moved to KSBW in the Monterey-Salinas, California area, where she worked as a news anchor until November 1997. She has also made guest appearances on Action News and helped with KSBW's holiday events.
Hosting and Co-Hosting Shows
In 1998, Dina hosted a TV show called A Quest for Excellence. This show was about students, teachers, and school leaders, and it also featured interviews with celebrities. From 2001 to 2004, she co-hosted the popular hidden camera show Candid Camera with Peter Funt.
Returning to News Anchoring
On February 8, 2011, Dina returned to KSBW as a guest anchor for the 5 p.m. newscast. She was known as Dina Ruiz-Eastwood on air. She came back again to anchor the 5 p.m. newscast for two weeks starting November 11, 2013.
Other Contributions
Dina was recognized by San Francisco State University in 2009 as one of their "Alumni Hot Shots." She also discovered the South African a cappella band Overtone while her former husband was filming Invictus. The band's music was later used in the movie's soundtrack.
Dina has also appeared briefly as a reporter in two movies directed by her former husband: True Crime (1999) and Blood Work (2002). In 2012, she played a character named Vanessa Reeve in the movie The Forger, acting alongside her stepson, Scott Eastwood.
Dina has been a part of The California Museum for History, Women and the Arts Board of Trustees and used to be its chair. She has also written for Carmel magazine since 2010 and worked as an editor for the literary journal Reed Magazine. She has also taught yoga.
Personal Life
Meeting Clint Eastwood
Dina met actor and director Clint Eastwood in 1993 when she interviewed him for KSBW-TV. They got along well and started dating. They married on March 31, 1996. They have one daughter together, Morgan Eastwood, who was born on December 12, 1996.
Family Life and Changes
In April 2013, Dina took a break to focus on her well-being. In August 2013, she shared that she and Clint Eastwood had been living separately for some time. Dina Eastwood filed for divorce on October 22, 2013.
In July 2016, Dina Eastwood married basketball coach Scott Fisher.
