Dina Marie Fisher (born July 11, 1965), also known as Dina Eastwood, is an American reporter, news anchor, and actress. She was married to the famous actor and film director Clint Eastwood.
She helped host the TV show Candid Camera from 2001 to 2004. She also starred in the reality TV series Mrs. Eastwood & Company in 2012. This show followed her daily life.
Early Life and School
Dina Marie Ruiz was born in Castro Valley, California. Her father, Michael Ruiz, was a math teacher and wrestling coach. Her mother was Mary Lou Ruiz. Dina grew up in Fremont, California.
After finishing Mission San Jose High School, she went to several colleges. In 1983, she started at Ohlone College. While there, she anchored the news for the college TV station. She also attended Arizona State University. In 1988, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State University. Later, in 2017, she earned a master's degree in creative writing from San Jose State University.
Career Highlights
In 1990, Dina started working as a reporter for KNAZ-TV in Arizona. She later became a news anchor. In 1991, she joined KSBW in California as a news anchor. She worked there until 1997. She has also made guest appearances on Action News.
In 1998, she hosted A Quest for Excellence. This TV show focused on students, teachers, and school challenges. From 2001 to 2004, she co-hosted Candid Camera with Peter Funt. This show used hidden cameras to play pranks on people.
Dina Eastwood also returned to KSBW as a guest anchor in 2011 and 2013. She was recognized by San Francisco State University in 2009.
She found the South African a cappella band Overtone. This happened while her husband was filming Invictus. The band then recorded songs for the movie's soundtrack.
Dina Eastwood has also acted in movies. She appeared as a reporter in two of her husband's films: True Crime (1999) and Blood Work (2002). In 2012, she played Vanessa Reeve in The Forger. Her stepson, Scott Eastwood, also starred in this movie.
She has been a trustee for The California Museum for History, Women and the Arts. She also writes for Carmel magazine and is an editor for Reed Magazine. She has also worked as a yoga instructor.
Personal Life
Dina met actor and director Clint Eastwood in 1993. She interviewed him for KSBW-TV. They became friends and started dating. They got married on March 31, 1996.
Dina and Clint Eastwood have one daughter together. Her name is Morgan Eastwood, born on December 12, 1996.
In August 2013, Dina Eastwood shared that she and Clint Eastwood had been living apart. She filed for divorce on October 22, 2013.
In July 2016, Dina Eastwood married basketball coach Scott Fisher.
