Dinea Island (also known as Bulgarian: остров Динея, romanized: ostrov Dinea in Bulgarian) is a small, flat, and rocky island. It is located just off the north coast of Greenwich Island. This island is part of the South Shetland Islands, which are found near Antarctica.
Dinea Island stretches about 290 meters (950 feet) from north to south. It is also about 130 meters (425 feet) wide. In the early 1800s, explorers and seal hunters visited this area. The island gets its name from an old Roman fortress called Dinea. This fortress is located in Northeastern Bulgaria.
