Dirk Bach (born April 23, 1961 – died October 1, 2012) was a famous German actor, comedian, and TV host. He was best known for co-hosting Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!. This was the German version of the popular show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

Dirk Bach's Career in Entertainment
Dirk Bach was born in Cologne, Germany. After finishing school, he started working in theaters. He performed in many big cities like Amsterdam, Brussels, London, New York, Utrecht, and Vienna.
Early TV Shows and Awards
In 1992, Dirk joined a theater group in Cologne. He also started his own TV show called Dirk Bach Show on the German channel RTL. From 1996 to 2001, he starred in the TV series Lukas on ZDF. For his work on Lukas, he won several important awards. These included the Telestar award in 1996, the German Comedy Award in 1999, and the Goldene Kamera in 2001.
Popular Roles and Hosting Gigs
In 2002, Dirk Bach played a role in Der kleine Mönch on ZDF. He also worked on Sesamstraße, which is the German version of Sesame Street. There, he played the character Pepe. He often worked with another comedian, Hella von Sinnen, on many TV shows.
From 2004 onwards, Dirk Bach and Sonja Zietlow became the hosts of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! in Germany. In 2005, he voiced the character Urmel in the movie Urmel aus dem Eis (Impy's Island). Starting in 2006, Dirk also hosted the German game show Frei Schnauze on RTL. In 2010, he appeared as Pastor Hinze in the soap opera Verbotene Liebe.
Helping Others
Dirk Bach was also known for helping different organizations. He supported Amnesty International, which works for human rights around the world. He also helped PETA, an organization that protects animal rights.

Dirk Bach lived in Cologne. He passed away on October 1, 2012, in Berlin. He was 51 years old. It is believed he died from heart failure.
