History of the Group
According to Diddy, Diddy-Dirty Money was more than just a music group. He called it "a look, a sound, a movement, [and] a crew." When he was working on his album Last Train to Paris, he wanted to try something new and exciting. He wanted to tell a love story, but he felt he couldn't tell it only from a man's point of view.
The group's first album, Last Train to Paris, came out in December 2010. Music critics described it as having a strong European influence. It mixed different music styles like Italo disco, pop-rap, and tech house. The album also featured many famous guest artists, from T.I. to Grace Jones.
Diddy-Dirty Money performed at several big events. On July 24, 2010, they had a concert at Hard Rock Stadium after a baseball game. They also appeared on the popular TV show Saturday Night Live on December 4, 2010.
In December 2010, the group was featured in a new song and music video called "I'm on You" by the artist Timati. They also performed their hit song "Coming Home" and "I'll Be Missing You" for the American Armed Forces. This special performance took place at Fort Hood in Texas for WWE's Tribute to the Troops event on December 18, 2010.
In January 2011, Diddy-Dirty Money performed "Coming Home" and a cover of Far East Movement's "Like a G6" for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. They also performed "Coming Home" live on American Idol with Skylar Grey on March 10, 2011.
