Early Gymnastics Career

In October, Dominique was part of the Canadian team at the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Japan. The team placed eleventh. This meant they needed to compete again to qualify for the Olympics. Later that month, Dominique had to miss the Pan American Games due to a hand injury.

2012 Season

In March 2012, Dominique competed at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Germany. This was her comeback competition after her hand injury. She placed third on the floor exercise. She said this result gave her confidence to get back into competition.

Dominique left the Alabama team in 2015. This was after two years of dealing with injuries. In 2017, she earned a degree from the University of Alabama. She studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
