Donna Hill is an American author who writes exciting stories for young adults and grown-ups. She is famous for her romance (love stories), mystery (detective stories), and women's fiction books. Donna Hill has written over seventy novels and many short stories. She has also helped edit several collections of stories. Three of her popular novels, Intimate Betrayal, Masquerade, and A Private Affair, have even been made into movies!

About Donna Hill's Life
Donna Hill gets ideas for her stories from other amazing writers. Some of her favorite authors include Bernice McFadden, Jesmyn Ward, Walter Mosley, and James Patterson.
Besides writing her own books, Donna Hill also helps other writers. She works as an editor for novels and has edited two award-winning collections of stories. She also teaches people how to write at The Frederick Douglass Creative Arts Center in New York. Donna Hill studied writing at Goddard College, where she earned a special degree called an MFA in creative writing. She also teaches English at several colleges, including Medgar Evers College.
Her Amazing Writing Career
Donna Hill started her writing journey in 1987. Her very first novel was called True Confessions. Since then, she has written more than seventy books! She even won a special award called the RT Career Achievement Award for all her wonderful books.
In 2009, Donna Hill started a new project called InnerVision Publishing. She created this e-book company with another author, Pittershawn Palmer. Their goal was to publish books that share stories from many different cultures and backgrounds.

One of her well-known books is Intimate Betrayal. This mystery story is about a character named Reese. Reese has trouble remembering parts of her past because of a difficult event when she was younger. Her memory starts to come back when she meets a person named Maxwell. She discovers that their fathers used to work together in military intelligence. Intimate Betrayal was published in 1997. Later, in 1999, it was made into a TV movie for the BET network. Famous actors like Monica Calhoun and Khalil Kain starred in the movie.
Sometimes, Donna Hill writes books using a different name, called a pen name. Her pen name is Olivia Hill.
