About Roy Campanella II
Roy Campanella II is the son of professional baseball legend Roy Campanella. Roy II started his career by directing short films. Later, he began directing episodes for TV shows.
Early TV Work
One of his first big jobs was directing an episode of the TV series Lou Grant in 1982. After that, he directed more TV projects. He also worked as a "creative consultant" for the TV show 227. This means he helped with ideas for the show.
Producing and BET Projects
By the late 1990s, Roy Campanella II also started producing TV shows. He worked with Black Entertainment Television (BET). For BET, he helped create a series of TV movies based on black romance novels. He even directed three of these movies himself.
Working at KPFA Radio
In 2004, Campanella became the general manager of a radio station called KPFA. This station is in Berkeley, California. He worked there for about 14 months. He later resigned from his position.
