Doron Lamb was born in Queens, New York. He went to Oak Hill Academy, a famous high school for basketball players. In his final year, Doron was amazing! He scored about 23 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and made 4 assists per game.

Because he was so good, he was chosen as a McDonald's All-American. This means he was one of the best high school players in the country. Experts also ranked him as one of the top shooting guards in the nation.

College Success at Kentucky

Doron decided to play college basketball for the University of Kentucky. In his first year, his team, the Wildcats, made it to the NCAA Final Four. They lost a very close game by just one point.

In his second year, the Wildcats had an incredible season. They won 38 games and only lost 2! This led them to win the 2012 NCAA Championship. Doron was known for his excellent three-point shooting, making over 46% of his shots from far away. In the 2012 championship game against Kansas, Doron scored a game-high 22 points. This helped Kentucky win their eighth NCAA championship!
