Doug Rogers (judoka) facts for kids
Alfred Harold Douglas "Doug" Rogers (January 26, 1941 – July 20, 2020) was a Canadian Olympic competitor in judo. He was the first Canadian to win an Olympic medal in the sport. He was an honoured member in the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. He won a silver medal at the 1964 Summer Olympics and gold medals at two Pan American Games, in 1965 and 1967. He was born in Truro, Nova Scotia.
Rogers died on July 20, 2020 in Vancouver, aged 79.
