- Cadmus is one of these communities. It was first started in 1887.
- Dover was once the name of a post office in the township. This post office first opened on January 15, 1836, under the name Unionville. It closed for a short time and then reopened as Dover on November 22, 1842. The Dover post office operated until November 29, 1867.
