Dudu Cearense, whose full name is Alexandro Silva de Sousa, is a Brazilian former professional footballer. He was born on April 15, 1983. People often called him just Dudu. He was a central midfielder, which means he played in the middle of the field. Dudu was good at passing the ball, winning headers, and tackling opponents. Even though he sometimes played in a defensive role, he was mostly an attacking player. He even played for the famous Brazil national team!

Dudu's Football Journey
Dudu was born in Fortaleza, a city in Brazil. He started his professional football career in Brazil with Vitória.
Playing in Europe and Asia
In 2004, Dudu moved to Japan to play for Kashiwa Reysol. After that, he went to France and played for Rennes for half a season.
In February 2005, Dudu joined CSKA Moscow in Russia. He played there with other Brazilian stars like Daniel Carvalho and Vagner Love. He stayed with CSKA Moscow for several years.
Moving to Greece
In 2008, Dudu wanted to leave CSKA Moscow. The Greek club Olympiacos was very interested in him. They offered a lot of money, and Dudu signed a three-year contract with them on August 6, 2008. He even signed a new contract in 2009 that would keep him there until 2013.
Back to Brazil and Other Clubs
On April 7, 2011, Dudu moved back to Brazil. He joined Atlético Mineiro and signed a three-year contract. In 2012, he moved to Goiás. He played there until his contract ended in January 2014. Dudu wanted to play in Europe again.
So, on January 27, 2014, he signed a contract with OFI Crete in Greece. Later that year, on June 5, 2014, he joined Maccabi Netanya in Israel. However, he got injured and did not play any league games for them. He only played in two minor cup matches.
In 2015, Dudu returned to Brazil once more. He signed a contract with Fortaleza, a club from his home city. He later played for Botafogo until 2018.
