Alessandro Silva de Sousa (born April 15, 1983), known as Dudu Cearense or simply Dudu, is a former professional football player from Brazil. He played as a central midfielder.
Dudu was known for his great passing skills, his ability to win balls in the air, and his strong tackles. He often played in a defensive midfield role, but he was also very good at attacking. He even played for the Brazilian national team.

Playing Career
Dudu was born in Fortaleza, a city in Ceará, Brazil. He started his football journey there.
Early Club Years
Dudu began his professional career with Vitória in Brazil. He played there from 2000 to 2003. After that, he moved to Japan to play for Kashiwa Reysol in 2004. He then spent some time in France with Rennes in 2004 and 2005.
Time in Russia and Greece
In February 2005, Dudu joined CSKA Moscow in Russia. He played alongside other Brazilian stars like Daniel Carvalho and Vágner Love. He stayed with CSKA Moscow until 2008, winning several titles.
In August 2008, Dudu moved to Greece to play for Olympiacos. He signed a three-year contract and later extended it. He was a key player for Olympiacos for three seasons.
Return to Brazil and Later Clubs
In April 2011, Dudu returned to Brazil to play for Atlético Mineiro. He signed a three-year deal with them. In 2012, he moved to Goiás, where he played until early 2014.
After his time in Brazil, Dudu wanted to play in Europe again. In January 2014, he signed a contract with OFI in Greece. Later that year, he joined Maccabi Netanya in Israel. However, he faced some challenges there and did not play any league games before leaving the club.
Dudu returned to Brazil in January 2015, joining Fortaleza. He then played for Botafogo from 2016 to 2018, before ending his professional career.
