Duiven facts for kids
Duiven is a town and a special area called a municipality in the eastern part of the Netherlands. The name Duiven sounds like the Dutch word for "pigeons" or "doves." Even though the town's symbol shows pigeons, its name actually comes from an old word meaning "dunes" (like sand hills). Duiven got its official flag on June 25, 1954.
