Duquesne (pronounced dew-KAYN) is a small city in Jasper County, Missouri, United States. It's located in the central part of the country. In 2020, about 2,159 people lived there. Duquesne is part of the larger Joplin, Missouri Metropolitan Area.

The 2011 Tornado Event
On May 22, 2011, a very strong tornado hit the area. This tornado caused significant damage to Duquesne. Many buildings in the city were affected. The community worked hard to rebuild after this event.
