E'Twaun Donte Moore (born February 25, 1989) is an American professional basketball player. He is currently a scout for the Chicago Bulls in the National Basketball Association (NBA). E'Twaun was chosen by the Boston Celtics in the 2011 NBA draft after playing college basketball at Purdue University. In high school, he led East Chicago's Central High School to win an IHSAA state championship.
He was a Second-Team All-Big Ten player as a freshman and sophomore. He then became a First-Team All-Big Ten player as a junior and senior for Purdue Boilermakers men's basketball. He was also recognized for his good grades, being named Academic All-Big Ten twice. As a junior, he was named a Third-Team All-American by Yahoo! Sports. He also received an Honorable Mention All-American award from the Associated Press (AP). He earned the AP honorable mention again as a senior and was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Third Team-All America.

High School Basketball Star
E'Twaun Moore played high school basketball at Central High School in East Chicago. In his final year, he averaged 21.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
That same season, E'Twaun helped his team win the 2007 Indiana High School Athletic Association 4A State Championship. He scored 28 points in the championship game against Indianapolis North Central High School. Their opponent's team included Eric Gordon, who later became an NBA player. E'Twaun also won the tournament's Trester Award, which is given to the player who shows the best sportsmanship, character, and mental attitude. He was named to the Indiana All-Star Team and was honored as a third-team Parade All-American.
Becoming a Top Recruit
Many experts thought E'Twaun was one of the best high school basketball players in the country. Scout.com ranked him as the number eight shooting guard in the nation. Rivals.com placed him as the number seven shooting guard and the second-best player in Indiana. ESPN even saw him as a point guard and rated him as the 4th best point guard and 20th best player overall in the nation.
He received scholarship offers from many top universities. E'Twaun decided to join Purdue, becoming part of a highly-rated recruiting class. He teamed up with other talented players like Robbie Hummel and JaJuan Johnson.
College Basketball Journey
E'Twaun Moore played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers under coach Matt Painter.
Freshman Year (2007–2008)
In his first year, E'Twaun quickly made an impact. He was named co-Big Ten Player of the Week in February 2008. He led the "baby boilers" (a nickname for the young Purdue team) in scoring with 12.9 points per game. This made him the first freshman in Purdue history to lead the team in scoring. He also set a new Purdue freshman record for most three-point shots made, with 66.
E'Twaun helped Purdue reach the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row. They finished the season with a strong 25–9 record. He was named a Second Team All-Big Ten player and was also chosen for the Big Ten All-Freshmen Team.
Sophomore Year (2008–2009)
In his second year, E'Twaun was again the leading scorer for the Boilermakers. He also ranked second in assists and third in rebounds. He earned his second Big Ten Player of the Week award in December 2008. He helped Purdue win their first Big Ten tournament championship in school history.
E'Twaun then led Purdue to their third straight NCAA tournament appearance. They reached the "Sweet Sixteen" (the round of 16 teams) for the first time in nine years. He played in 37 games that season, which was a school record. He was named Second Team All-Big Ten again and was also recognized for his academic achievements.
Junior Year (2009–2010)
Before his junior season, E'Twaun was named a candidate for the John R. Wooden Award, a top college basketball award. He scored his 1,000th career point, becoming the 43rd Purdue player to do so. He helped Purdue start the season with a fantastic 14–0 record, tying the best start in school history.
E'Twaun was named a Second Team Academic All-American for his excellent grades. He had a streak of 28 games where he scored double-digit points. He led Purdue in scoring with 16.5 points per game. He also helped Purdue win a share of the Big Ten Conference regular season title, their first in fourteen years.
He was named a First Team All-Big Ten player. He was also selected as a Third-Team All-American by Yahoo! Sports and an Honorable Mention All-American by the Associated Press. E'Twaun led Purdue to the "Sweet Sixteen" in the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row. Purdue finished the season with a 29–6 record, tying the school record for most wins in a season.
Senior Year (2010–2011)
After his junior season, E'Twaun considered entering the 2010 NBA draft but decided to return to Purdue for his senior year. He was named a Preseason First Team All-Big Ten player.
On November 26, 2010, E'Twaun scored 31 points, his first time scoring over 30 points in a game. He scored 31 points again on New Year's Eve, making a career-high 7 three-point shots. On February 20, E'Twaun led #11 Purdue with a career-high 38 points against #3 Ohio State. This was the most points scored by a Purdue player in a single game since 1994. During this game, he also scored his 2,000th career point.
E'Twaun was again selected for the First-Team All-Big Ten. The National Association of Basketball Coaches named him a third team All-American. He finished his senior year averaging career highs of 18 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. He scored 20 or more points in eleven games, including three games where he scored over 30 points.
Professional Basketball Career
Benetton Treviso (2011)
E'Twaun Moore was chosen by the Boston Celtics as the 55th pick in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft. Because of an NBA lockout (when players and teams couldn't agree on rules), E'Twaun signed a temporary deal with Benetton Treviso in Italy. This deal allowed him to return to the Celtics once the lockout ended.
Boston Celtics (2011–2012)
On December 9, 2011, E'Twaun signed a contract with the Celtics. He played his first NBA game on Christmas Day. He scored his first points on January 4, 2012. He started getting more playing time when other players were injured. On January 26, 2012, he scored 16 points against the Orlando Magic, making all four of his three-point attempts.
Orlando Magic (2012–2014)
In July 2012, E'Twaun was traded to the Houston Rockets and then signed with the Orlando Magic. He started the 2012–13 NBA season as a starter for the Magic because some key players were injured. He scored a career-high 17 points on November 6, 2012, against the Chicago Bulls. He topped this with 18 points later that month.
E'Twaun continued to play an important role for the Magic, especially when other players were out with injuries. On March 1, 2013, he set a career-high with 11 assists. In the 2013–14 NBA season, he continued to contribute, tying his season high of 17 points on April 9, 2014, by making all 6 of his shots, including 5 three-pointers.
Chicago Bulls (2014–2016)
In September 2014, E'Twaun signed with the Chicago Bulls. On March 5, 2015, with several star players injured, E'Twaun scored a career-high 19 points. He also hit the game-winning three-point shot with just 2.1 seconds left to help the Bulls beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 108–105.
On January 14, 2016, E'Twaun scored Chicago's first 7 points in overtime, helping the Bulls come back from a 24-point deficit to win. On February 3, he started a game and scored a new career-high of 24 points. He matched this 24-point performance on February 21 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
New Orleans Pelicans (2016–2020)
E'Twaun signed with the New Orleans Pelicans in July 2016. He started his time with the Pelicans by scoring 10 points in his first game.
He continued to improve his scoring, tying his career high of 24 points in November 2017. On December 4, 2017, he set a new career high with 27 points. Just a week later, on December 11, 2017, he had an amazing game, scoring a career-high 36 points and making a career-best six three-pointers. On April 4, 2018, he scored 30 points and made a career-high seven three-pointers in a game.
In November 2018, E'Twaun scored a season-high 30 points against the Toronto Raptors, and then 31 points in the next game against Minnesota. His role with the Pelicans changed over time, but he often stepped up to score important points, especially in the fourth quarter of games.
Phoenix Suns (2020–2021)
E'Twaun signed with the Phoenix Suns in November 2020. After playing in only a couple of games early in the season, he started getting more playing time. On February 8, 2021, he started a game and scored a season-high 17 points, helping the Suns win. E'Twaun and the Suns made it all the way to the 2021 NBA Finals, but they lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games.
In September 2021, E'Twaun signed with the Orlando Magic again. However, he got a knee injury during the preseason and was later waived by the team in February 2022 without playing a game for them.
Life After Playing Basketball
After his playing career, E'Twaun Moore has been involved in several business ventures. He has invested in the development of Dallas Executive Airport. He also owns two McAlister's Deli restaurants, a transportation company in Orlando, and real estate in different states.
In August 2024, E'Twaun Moore was hired by the Chicago Bulls as a scout. In this role, he helps the team find and evaluate new basketball talent.

E'Twaun Moore was born in East Chicago, Indiana. His parents are Ezell and Edna Moore. He has a brother named Ezell and a sister named Ekeisha.
