Enhypen (pronounced En-HIGH-fen) is a popular South Korean boy band. They were created through a TV show called I-Land in 2020. The group is managed by Belift Lab. Enhypen started with seven members. Now, they have six members: Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki. Heeseung, one of the original members, left the group in March 2026. Enhypen officially started their music journey on November 30, 2020, with their first mini-album, Border: Day One.

Understanding Enhypen's Name

The name Enhypen was revealed during the final show of I-Land. It comes from the "hyphen" symbol (-). This symbol helps connect words and create new meanings. For Enhypen, it means "Connection, Discovery, and Growth." The group wants to connect with each other and their fans. They also want to discover new things and grow together as artists.

Enhypen's Journey in Music

How Enhypen Was Formed

In 2019, two big entertainment companies, CJ E&M and Hybe Corporation, created Belift Lab. Their plan was to form a new K-pop group. They held auditions in many places, looking for talented young men.
