"EZ Do Dance" (also written as "EZ DO DANCE") is a super popular song by the Japanese band TRF. It was released as their second single on June 21, 1993. This song became a huge hit for TRF and is famous for helping to bring dance music to Japan.
"EZ Do Dance" won the Music Video Award at the 35th Japan Record Awards. You might have heard it in video games like Dance Dance Revolution X2 and Just Dance Wii U. It's also a big part of the anime world, used in the Pretty Rhythm series and its spin-off, King of Prism.

How "EZ Do Dance" Was Made
The song "EZ Do Dance" was written and produced by Tetsuya Komuro. He was inspired by a type of dance music called Eurobeat. This style uses lots of cool synth sounds.

The single first came out on June 21, 1993. It was re-released later on November 29, 2006. "EZ Do Dance" was also the main song on TRF's third album, which had the same name. The song was even used in a TV commercial for Sea Breeze!

Japanese singer Saori@destiny covered the song in 2009. It was on her mini-album called Wow War Techno.
The Japanese group Dream5 also released a cover in 2012. Their version was part of their single "I My Me Mine" / "EZ Do Dance". This song was featured in a commercial for Ito-Yokado. It even reached number 19 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart!

The Japanese girl group Prizmmy released their own cover of "EZ Do Dance" on July 24, 2013. This was a special collaboration with the Pretty Rhythm anime series. It celebrated TRF's 20th anniversary! Prizmmy's version was the second opening song for the anime series Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live. Their single reached number 84 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.
"EZ Do Dance" in King of Prism
"EZ Do Dance" has continued to be a big part of the Pretty Rhythm world, especially in the King of Prism spin-off series.
- A character named DJ Coo (voiced by Shotaro Morikubo) covered the song. His character is based on DJ Koo from TRF!
- A remix called "EZ Do Dance (K.O.P. Mix)" was in the 2016 anime movie King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm. It was used during a battle scene between characters Kazuki Nishina and Alexander Yamato.
- The song was also performed live in the stage show King of Prism: Over the Sunshine!.
- In the sequel movie, King of Prism: Pride the Hero, another version called "EZ Do Dance (Thunder Storm ver.)" appeared. It was sung by the characters Taiga Kougami and Alexander Yamato.
A Fun Parody Song
In 2019, as an April Fools joke, the group Buster Bros!!! from Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle released a funny parody. It was called "EZ Do Rap". This song was a playful "diss track" (a song meant to playfully criticize) aimed at the King of Prism anime series. It was very popular and got over 100,000 retweets on Twitter!
