Eagarville is in the southeastern part of Macoupin County. It is about 3 miles (4.8 km) southeast of Gillespie. It is also 2 miles (3.2 km) northeast of Benld. Mount Olive is about 5 miles (8 km) to the northwest.
The village covers an area of about 0.93 square miles (2.41 square kilometers). Most of this area is land. A small part, about 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometers), is water. Two creeks, Bear Creek and Spring Creek, flow through the village. Both creeks eventually join the Mississippi River.
