Eagle is a town located in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2020, about 3,478 people lived there. The smaller Village of Eagle is also found within the town. Another small community called Eagleville is part of the town too.

History of Eagle

The town of Eagle got its name from an interesting event in 1836. A pioneer named Thomas Sugden was exploring the area with two friends. They saw a very large bald eagle flying and circling over a big hill in the middle of the prairie. This amazing sight led them to name the area "Eagle."

On June 21, 2010, a strong tornado passed through the town. It caused a lot of damage. The storm that created the tornado also led to warnings for nearby Racine and Milwaukee counties.
