Earl Lee "the Twirl" Williams (born March 24, 1951) is a former professional basketball player. He is from both America and Israel. He was known for being a top rebounder in the Israeli basketball league in 1990 and 1991.

Earl Williams' Early Life
Earl Williams grew up in Levittown, Pennsylvania. He played basketball for his high school team at Woodrow Wilson High School. In 2023, he was honored for his sports achievements. He was added to the Bristol Township School District Athletic Hall Of Fame.
After high school, Earl played college basketball at Winston-Salem State University. He played for the Winston-Salem State Rams team.
Playing Professional Basketball
Earl Williams had a long career playing basketball around the world. He played for teams in the United States, Sweden, Israel, and Italy.
Playing in the USA
In 1974, Earl Williams was chosen by the Phoenix Suns in the NBA draft. This was a big step for his career. He played his first NBA game on October 17, 1974, with the Phoenix Suns.
Over the next four years, he also played for other NBA teams. These included the Detroit Pistons, the New York Nets, and the Boston Celtics.
Playing in Sweden
In the 1977–78 basketball season, Earl played for a team in Sweden. He joined Alvik, which is part of the Swedish League. His team finished in second place that year.
Playing in Israel
Earl Williams spent a lot of his career playing in the Israeli League. He was a star player for teams like Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Holon. He also played for Maccabi Ramat Gan.
In 1990, when he was 39 years old, he was the oldest player in the Israeli League. He was also the best at getting rebounds in the league in both 1990 and 1991.
Playing in Italy
Earl also played for two different teams in Italy. He played for Fortitudo Bologna during the 1984–1985 season. Later, he played for Libertas Brindisi in the 1988–1989 season.
