Location Hampshire, England

East Hampshire was once known as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). This special area in England was first recognized in 1962. An AONB is a place with beautiful landscapes that are protected by law.

In March 2010, the East Hampshire AONB changed. It joined with the nearby Sussex Downs AONB to become part of the new South Downs National Park. This means the area is still protected, but now under a different name.

The southern part of this region has gentle, rolling hills made of chalk. Farmers often use these lands for growing crops. To the north and east, you can find steep hills covered in trees and open heathland.
