Eastern Air Lines facts for kids

Eastern Air Lines was once one of the biggest airlines in the United States. It was started by Eddie Rickenbacker in 1929. Eastern Air Lines stopped flying in 1991. It was known as one of the Big Four airlines in the USA, along with American Airlines, United Airlines, and TWA.
In 2015, the Eastern name was used again for new flights. However, this new company later joined with another airline called Swift Air in 2017. Eastern's last flight under this new setup was in September 2017. The name "Eastern" was then given to another airline called Dynamic International Airways.
