Easton is a small city located in Buchanan County, Missouri, in the United States. In 2020, about 227 people lived there. It is part of the larger St. Joseph metropolitan area, which includes parts of Missouri and Kansas.

Easton was officially planned and laid out in 1854. Its name might come from its location, as it is east of the city of St. Joseph. A post office opened in Easton in 1855, helping the community grow.

Henry Iba: A Basketball Legend

Henry Iba was a famous college basketball coach. He was born in Easton. He coached Oklahoma State (which was called Oklahoma A&M back then). He led his team to win two NCAA titles in a row, in 1945 and 1946. This made him the first coach to win the NCAA tournament twice!

Virgil Ward: Fishing Star

Virgil Ward was a professional fisherman and a TV show host. He hosted a show called Championship Fishing. Virgil Ward was also born in Easton, Missouri.
