Edward Daniel, born on June 13, 1990, is an American professional basketball player. He plays for Scafati Basket in Italy's Serie A2 Basket league. Before turning pro, he played college basketball at Murray State University.

Playing for Murray State Racers
Ed Daniel was a star player at Woodlawn High School in Birmingham. He decided to play college basketball for the Murray State Racers. The Racers are located in Murray, Kentucky. Ed was part of a group of players who helped the Racers win more games than any other recruiting class in their history.
Key Seasons and Achievements
As a junior, Daniel was a starting player for the Racers' team in the 2011–12 season. That team had an amazing start, winning 23 games in a row. Overall, they finished the season with 31 wins and only 2 losses.
The next year, as a senior, Daniel played even better. He averaged a "double-double" in his games. This means he got at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in most games. Specifically, he averaged 13.2 points and 10 rebounds per game. Because of his great performance, he was named first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference.
Ed Daniel's Professional Basketball Career
Starting His Pro Career
After finishing college, Ed Daniel tried out for several NBA teams. However, he was not chosen in the 2013 NBA draft. He then signed with Pistoia Basket 2000 in Italy. During the 2013–14 season, he averaged 8.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for them.
Playing for Different Teams
For the 2014–15 season, Daniel joined Pallacanestro Varese. In February 2015, he moved to another Italian team, Vanoli Cremona.
In July 2016, Daniel signed with Maccabi Ashdod, an Israeli team. The following year, in July 2017, he signed with the French club Champagne Châlons-Reims Basket. While playing in France, he averaged 8.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Daniel then signed with Rethymno Cretan Kings in Greece in August 2018. He left that team in September 2018 and joined Peristeri on a short contract. He ended up staying with Peristeri for the entire 2018–19 season.
Recent Teams and Current Club
Daniel returned to Italy for the 2019–20 season, playing for Fortitudo Bologna. He averaged 6.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game there. In July 2020, he signed with Iraklis in the Greek Basket League.
In August 2021, Ed Daniel signed with Scafati Basket in Italy. He continues to play for Scafati Basket in the Serie A2 Basket league.
