Early Life and Acting Start

Eddie Rouse went to Olney High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He started acting at the Bushfire Theatre in Philadelphia. Later, he studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts. There, he met Danny McBride and filmmaker David Gordon Green. He would work with them on movies later on.

Eddie Rouse's Acting Career

Eddie Rouse made his first movie appearance in George Washington in 2000. This movie was also the first for director David Gordon Green. Eddie Rouse played a "cranky uncle" in the film. He then appeared in several more of David Gordon Green's movies. These included All the Real Girls in 2003 and Pineapple Express in 2008. He also acted in The Sitter in 2011, alongside Jonah Hill.

Eddie Rouse also appeared in other movies. He was in the romantic comedy Juwanna Mann in 2002. In 2007, he acted in American Gangster and The Number 23. He played a chef in the 2009 movie Pandorum. In 2010, he was in I'm Still Here, a film starring Joaquin Phoenix.

He was survived by his five children: Nikia, Aisha, Tinisha, Brandon, and Eddie Rouse III. He also had 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
