Edelstein is a small, unincorporated village in Peoria County, Illinois, United States. An "unincorporated" area means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. It's located just off Illinois Route 40, north of the city of Peoria.

A post office has been operating in Edelstein since 1888. This means people have been sending and receiving mail there for a very long time. The community was named after John Edelstein, who was an important official for the railroad.
A historic building called the Hub Ballroom used to be in Edelstein. It was built in 1938. This ballroom was a popular place where many famous musicians performed, including Glenn Miller and Jerry Lee Lewis. Sadly, the Hub Ballroom was destroyed by a fire on June 25, 2009.
