Edmond Robinson Jr. (born February 23, 1992) is an American football player. He plays as a linebacker, which is a key defensive position. He played college football at Newberry. The Minnesota Vikings picked him in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft.

Edmond Robinson Jr. was born on February 23, 1992. His parents are Edmond Robinson Sr. and Rev. Annabelle Robinson. He grew up on Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina. This island is famous for having the last working tea plantation in the United States.
He went to St. Johns High School in Johns Island, South Carolina. There, he was a talented athlete. He played three different sports:

College Football Career
Edmond Robinson played college football at Newberry. He started in 29 of the 41 games he played. During his time there, he made 200 tackles. A tackle is when a defensive player stops an offensive player who has the ball.
He also had 2.5 sacks. A sack is when a defensive player tackles the opposing team's quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. He caused two fumbles and recovered three others. A fumble is when a player loses control of the ball.
Awards and Achievements
In 2013, Robinson was named to the All-South Atlantic Conference First-team. This was a big honor for him as a linebacker. That year, he had 69 total tackles and 2.5 sacks. In 2015, he played in a game against the Arizona Cardinals. He made one tackle and defended one pass. A week later, he made five tackles against the New York Giants. On September 2, 2017, the Vikings released him from the team.

Arlington Renegades
On November 17, 2022, Robinson was drafted by the Arlington Renegades of the XFL. He was placed on a reserve list in April 2023 but was activated in May. He was released by the team on January 30, 2024.
