Eduardo Luiz Saverin (born March 19, 1982) is a very successful businessman and investor from Brazil. He is best known for helping to create Facebook, one of the world's biggest social media sites.
Eduardo is now a billionaire and lives in Singapore. He also started his own company called B Capital. This company invests in new and growing businesses. Forbes magazine says he is the richest person from Brazil. He is also one of the wealthiest people in the world.

Eduardo Saverin's Early Life and School
Eduardo Luiz Saverin was born in São Paulo, Brazil. His family was wealthy and later moved to Rio de Janeiro. His father, Roberto Saverin, was a businessman. His mother, Sandra, was a psychologist.
In 1993, when Eduardo was 11, his family moved to the United States. They settled in Miami, Florida. He went to Gulliver Preparatory School there.
College Days at Harvard
After high school, Eduardo went to Harvard University. While studying there, he was very interested in weather. He used his knowledge to guess how hurricanes would move. This helped him make a lot of money by investing in oil.
In 2006, Eduardo graduated from Harvard. He earned a degree in economics.

During his time at Harvard, Eduardo met another student named Mark Zuckerberg. They noticed that Harvard students didn't have a special website to connect with each other. So, in 2004, they decided to create one. This website became Facebook.

Eduardo moved to Singapore in 2009. In 2015, he married Elaine Andriejanssen. She is from Indonesia and works in finance. They met when they were both studying in the U.S.

Citizenship Change
In 2011, Eduardo gave up his U.S. citizenship. He said he did this because he wanted to live and work in Singapore. This decision caused some discussion in the news. He denied that he left the U.S. to avoid paying taxes.
