Edwall is a small community in Lincoln County, Washington, United States. It is not officially a city or town, but an unincorporated community. Edwall is located about 35 miles from the bigger city of Spokane.
The community is part of the Reardan-Edwall School District. The old Edwall School building is now owned by the Parks and Recreation District. It is rented out to Christian Heritage School, which is a private school.
In February 2014, heavy rain caused a small creek to overflow. This flooded the center of Edwall. The flood damaged the town's post office, which then had to close permanently.
Edwall has an active United Methodist Church. There is also a Men's Service Club and a Women in Action Committee. The community has a volunteer fire and emergency medical crew. A library run by volunteers is located in the original one-room schoolhouse.

History of Edwall
Peter Edwall was the first white settler in this area. He arrived in 1881 and started a ranch. Later, William Spence from Medical Lake also settled there. He claimed land where the future town would be built.
Mr. Edwall bought Spence's land in 1887. In 1892, the Great Northern Railway built its main track across his land. Peter Edwall then planned out a town on his property and named it after himself.
The first buildings in Edwall were built by the railroad. These included a depot (train station), a water tank, and small storage buildings. A church and a general store were built in 1893.
Growth was slow between 1893 and 1897 due to a tough economic time. But in 1897, Lincoln County had a very good wheat harvest. This boosted the local economy, and Edwall began to grow quickly. A newspaper and a bank were soon opened. A large hotel was also built. By 1903, the population of Edwall had grown to 275 people.
