Ekaterina Sergeyevna Selezneva (born May 18, 1995) is a talented Russian rhythmic gymnast. She is known for her amazing skills with the hoop, winning a world championship title in 2019. Ekaterina has also won many gold medals at other big competitions, like the Grand Prix Final and the Summer Universiade.

About Ekaterina Selezneva
Ekaterina Selezneva was born in Pushkino, Pushkinsky District, Moscow Oblast, Russia. Her mother, Olga Nikolaevna Nazarova, was her coach. Ekaterina became a "Master of Sports of International Class" in Russia. This is a very high honor for athletes. She has been competing as a senior gymnast since 2011.

Ekaterina Selezneva got married on August 18, 2021. She married Sergey Gladun, who is a TV host and sports journalist.

Early Career Highlights
In 2013, Ekaterina started to make a name for herself in Russia. She won bronze medals in the hoop event at the Russian Cup and Russian Championships. Because of her success, she joined the Russian National Team in January 2013. That same year, she finished high school with a gold medal.
Success in 2014 and 2015
In 2014, Ekaterina won a gold medal in the clubs event at the Russian Championships. She even beat another famous gymnast, Arina Averina. In 2015, she had her best finish in the all-around at the Russian Championships, placing 4th. She also won a gold medal in the ribbon event.
2016 Season Achievements
In February 2016, Ekaterina won the all-around gold medal at the Alina Cup in Moscow. She also placed 6th in the all-around at the Russian Championships that year.
2017: A Big Year for Medals
The year 2017 was very successful for Ekaterina.
- She won the all-around gold at the Alina Cup again.
- At her first World Cup event in Guadalajara, she won a silver medal in the all-around. She also took home gold medals in hoop and ribbon, and silver in ball.
- She won another all-around gold at the Holon Senior International Tournament.
- At the World Challenge Cup in Berlin, she won a bronze in the all-around. She also earned two gold medals (hoop, ball), a silver (clubs), and a bronze (ribbon) in the apparatus finals.
- Ekaterina won a silver medal in the all-around at the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei. She also won a gold in ball, silver medals in hoop and ribbon, and a bronze in clubs.
2018: Grand Prix and World Cup Success
In 2018, Ekaterina continued to shine.
- She won a bronze medal in the all-around at the Russian National Championships. She also won gold medals in hoop, ball, and clubs.
- At the Grand Prix Kiev, she won the all-around gold medal. She also won gold in ball and ribbon, and silver in hoop and clubs.
- She earned a silver medal in the all-around at the Grand Prix Thiais.
- At the Sofia World Cup, she won a silver medal in the all-around.
- She won a bronze in the all-around at the Tashkent World Cup.
- At the Baku World Cup, she won a gold medal in hoop.
- Ekaterina won an all-around bronze medal at the Holon Grand Prix.
- At the Grand Prix Final in Marbella, she won gold in ball, silver in hoop and ribbon, and bronze in the all-around.
2019: World Champion!
The year 2019 was a highlight for Ekaterina.
- She started the year with a silver medal in ball at the Grand Prix Moscow.
- At the World Cup in Cluj-Napoca, she won a silver in the all-around and a gold in ball.
- She won the all-around gold medal at the 2019 Summer Universiade in Naples. She also won gold medals in hoop, ball, and ribbon, and a bronze in clubs.
- The biggest achievement was at the World Championships in Baku. Ekaterina won the gold medal in the hoop event, becoming a world champion! She also won a gold medal with her team and a bronze medal in the ribbon event.
