Arina Alekseyevna Averina (born August 13, 1998) is a talented former rhythmic gymnast from Russia. She was a finalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics. About Arina Averina

Arina Averina was born on August 13, 1998. She arrived twenty minutes before her identical twin sister, Dina. The sisters started learning gymnastics when they were just four years old. Arina has a small mole on her right cheekbone that is a bit higher than Dina's. She also has a scar above her right eye from an accident with a club during training.

Gymnastics Journey

Early Training and Junior Years

The Averina twins were first coached by Larisa Belova. They trained with her until they joined the Russian national team.

Arina and Dina started competing internationally in 2011. At the 2011 Russian-Chinese Youth Games, Arina placed 5th in the all-around. In 2012, Arina earned a bronze medal in the all-around at the Venera Cup in Israel. She also won silver in hoop and bronze medals in ball, clubs, and ribbon.
