Katherine Elaine Hendrix (born December 28, 1970) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in popular movies and TV shows. You might recognize her from The Parent Trap, where she played Meredith Blake, or from the TV series Dynasty. She has also appeared in films like Superstar and Inspector Gadget 2.

Early Life
Elaine Hendrix was born on December 28, 1970, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Her full name is Katherine Elaine Hendrix. Her mother chose her name, and most of her family called her Elaine, which stuck.
Career
Dancing and Modelling
When Elaine was in her last year of high school, she won a modeling contest. This led her to become a professional dancer with the Gary Harrison Dance Company. She also worked as a model and dancer for big brands like Nike and Levi's, and for famous hip-hop artists such as MC Hammer.
In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles, California. Soon after, she had an accident while riding her bike, which unfortunately ended her early career in modeling and dancing.
Film and Television
After recovering, Elaine started her acting career. She was cast in the 1995 Get Smart TV series. She also appeared in many other TV shows, including Joan of Arcadia, Friends, Ellen, Charmed, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She had a recurring role in Married... with Children.
Elaine has been in several movies, such as Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, the remake of The Parent Trap, Superstar, and Inspector Gadget 2. In 2004, she was in the documentary film What the Bleep Do We Know!?. She also appeared in a 2006 episode of Ghost Whisperer and the movie Coffee Date. In 2018, she starred in Christmas at Pemberley Manor, a Hallmark Channel TV movie.

In 2008, Elaine appeared in two episodes of the TV show The Middleman. She was also seen in an episode of Criminal Minds and the film Rock Slyde in 2009. In 2011, she played Felicia in the film Spork, which won an award at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Elaine also appeared as Renee on 90210 for four episodes. In 2014, she joined Charlie Sheen in the sitcom Anger Management for three episodes, playing Warden Hartley. She also appears in a web-series called Fetching, which shows her love for animals.
In 2018, it was announced that Elaine would play Susan Andrews in the Fox series Proven Innocent. In October 2019, she was cast as Alexis Carrington Colby for the third season of The CW's Dynasty reboot series, a main role she continued until 2022.
Stage Work
In 2016, Elaine played the role of Truvy in the play Steel Magnolias at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania. This play was directed by Marsha Mason, a famous director, and also featured other well-known actresses like Patricia Richardson and Jessica Walter. On June 9, 2016, this production became the most successful show in the history of the Bucks County Playhouse.
Activism Efforts
Elaine Hendrix is a big supporter of animal rights. She has been working to help animals since 2006, which is also when she became a vegan. When she is not filming, she travels around North America and works with organizations worldwide. She helps to teach people about animal welfare, takes part in protests, builds animal habitats, and helps transport and rescue homeless animals. In 2012, she started her own organization called The Pet Matchmaker. This group celebrates and encourages people to rescue, foster, and adopt pets who need homes. She also serves on the board of Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
