Katherine Elaine Hendrix (born December 28, 1970) is an American actress. She is famous for playing Meredith Blake in the 1998 movie The Parent Trap. She has also appeared in many other movies and TV shows, including Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Superstar, and the TV series Dynasty.

Early Life
Elaine Hendrix was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. When she was born, her father was away serving in the Vietnam War. Her mother named her Katherine Elaine. Most of her family called her by her middle name, Elaine, and the name stuck.
Career
Dancing and Modeling
When Elaine was in high school, she won a modeling contest. This led to her becoming a professional dancer with the Gary Harrison Dance Company. She worked as a model and dancer for famous companies like Nike and Levi's. She also danced in music videos for hip-hop artists like MC Hammer.
In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue her career. Shortly after moving, she was in a serious accident while riding her bike. The accident ended her career as a dancer and model, so she decided to focus on acting.
Acting in Movies and TV
After recovering from her accident, Elaine started her acting career. One of her first big roles was in the 1995 TV series Get Smart.
She is best known for playing the villain, Meredith Blake, in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. She also appeared in popular movies like Romy and Michele's High School Reunion and Superstar. Younger audiences might know her from the movie Inspector Gadget 2.

Elaine has also been a guest star on many TV shows. These include Friends, Joan of Arcadia, Charmed, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She had a recurring role on the show Married... with Children.
From 2015 to 2016, she starred in the comedy series ... & ... & Rock & Roll. More recently, from 2019 to 2022, she played the character Alexis Carrington Colby in the TV show Dynasty.

Besides movies and TV, Elaine has also performed in plays. In 2013, she starred in an Off-Broadway play in New York City.
In 2016, she acted in a production of Steel Magnolias at the Bucks County Playhouse in Pennsylvania. The show was very successful and became the highest-grossing show in the theater's history.
Animal Activism
Elaine Hendrix is a dedicated animal rights activist. She has been working to help animals since 2006. She is also a vegan, which means she does not eat or use any animal products.
She spends her free time working with organizations that rescue animals. In 2012, she started her own organization called The Pet Matchmaker. It helps find homes for homeless pets. She is also on the board of other animal rescue groups.
