In 2001, Elbert Howard wrote a book about his experiences called Panther on the Prowl. This book shared his story about the Black Panthers. In 2003, he worked to help people who had been in trouble with the law get a fresh start. He also joined a group that worked for reparations, which means making up for past wrongs.
