Elhaida Dani (born February 17, 1993) is a talented singer, songwriter, and actress from Albania. She grew up in Shkodër and started playing piano and singing when she was very young. Elhaida became famous in Albania after winning big music contests like Star Academy Albania and Top Fest. She also won the first season of The Voice of Italy, which made her well-known in Italy.
In 2015, Elhaida represented Albania in the famous Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with her song "I'm Alive". Later, she became even more popular in Italy and France. This happened when she started acting in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris.

Early Life and First Steps in Music (1993–2012)
Elhaida Dani was born on February 17, 1993, in Shkodër, Albania. She loved music from a very young age. She started singing when she was just four years old. Later, she began taking piano lessons. Elhaida also studied music at the University of Arts in Tirana.
She began her music career in 2009. She won many music festivals, including Star Academy and Top Fest. In 2011, she tried to represent Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. She sang the song "Mijëra vjet" at the Festivali i Këngës contest. In 2012, she won the ninth edition of Top Fest with her song "S'je më".
Winning The Voice of Italy and Eurovision (2013–2015)
In March 2013, Elhaida auditioned for the first season of The Voice of Italy. She sang "Mamma Knows Best" and all four judges wanted her on their team. She chose to join Team Cocciante. Elhaida did very well throughout the show. She won the competition in May 2013 with over 70% of the votes! After winning, she signed a music contract with Universal Music.
In October 2014, Elhaida was chosen to compete in the 53rd edition of Festivali i Këngës. She sang a song called "Diell". She won the contest, which meant she would represent Albania at Eurovision Song Contest 2015. However, she later changed her song to "I'm Alive". At Eurovision, Albania made it to the final round. Elhaida finished in 17th place.
Notre-Dame de Paris and Recent Success (2016–Present)
In 2016, Elhaida was asked to play the role of Esmeralda in the famous musical Notre Dame de Paris. She has been touring the world with this show since then. In December 2017, she competed in Kënga Magjike and came in second place.
After a break, Elhaida released her second collection of songs, called an extended play (EP), named Zanin on September 20, 2021. She worked with Albanian songwriters and producers on this EP. In October 2022, she joined the 8th season of Dancing with the Stars Albania. She often received top scores from the judges. In December 2022, Elhaida released a new song called "Vetja".
