About Elisse Joson
Elisse Joson was born in Balanga, Bataan, a city in the Philippines. She is the only child of her mother, Christine Joson, who is a doctor. Elisse went to Bataan Montessori School for her elementary grades.
Early Life and Education
When Elisse was seven years old, she started taking acting and singing classes. At first, she was quite shy. Later, her family moved to the United States for a few years. She went to Inderkum High School in Sacramento, California.
While living in the U.S., Elisse faced some challenges. She was sometimes teased because she wasn't fluent in English. However, this experience helped her become more confident. When she moved back to Manila, she used this new confidence to follow her dream of acting. At 16, she joined Star Magic, a group for young talents at ABS-CBN. She also studied at Quezon City Science High School and graduated with honors.
Elisse also studied Fashion Design and Merchandising at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. She loves fashion, inspired by designers like Alexander McQueen.
Elisse's Family Life
Elisse is in a relationship with her fellow actor, McCoy de Leon. They have a daughter named Felize de Leon. Their daughter was first introduced to the public on the TV show Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10.
Elisse's Acting Career
Elisse Joson began her journey in the entertainment world when she was 16. In 2012, she appeared in a music video for singer Jovit Baldivino's song, "Tell Me."
Becoming a Familiar Face
By 2013, Elisse started to become well-known. She played supporting roles in many TV shows. She was Cheska in the daytime series Be Careful With My Heart. She also played Erica in the primetime show Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon.
In 2014, Elisse was in the teen romantic comedy film She's Dating the Gangster. She played one of the "mean girls" in the movie. The next year, she starred in her first digital movie, Saranghaeyo #Ewankosau. This role earned her a nomination for 'New Movie Actress of the Year'.
She then joined the teen show Luv U as Divina. She also played Alexis Madrigal in the TV series You're My Home.
Breakthrough Moments
Elisse's career really took off in 2016 with a McDonald's Philippines TV commercial. The ad, called "Tuloy Pa Rin," was about moving on after a heartbreak and becoming stronger. It became very popular online because many people could relate to it. It has millions of views on YouTube.
In the same year, Elisse became a housemate in the reality TV series Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7. This made her even more famous.
Later Roles
In 2016, Elisse joined the cast of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, a very popular TV series. She played Lorraine, a cousin of a police officer. In 2017, she was part of the drama series The Good Son.
Later, she played Roxanne in Ngayon at Kailanman. Roxanne was the childhood friend and love interest of the main character. Elisse also starred as Grace Policarpio in the TV series Sandugo.
More recently, in 2023, Elisse played an important role in the TV series Dirty Linen. She also played the main antagonist in the afternoon drama series Pira-Pirasong Paraiso.
