Elkhorn is a small, unincorporated community located in McDowell County, West Virginia, United States. It sits along U.S. Route 52 and gets its name from the creek that flows through the area. An "unincorporated community" means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government.
The John J. Lincoln House is a historic building in Elkhorn. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. This means it's an important place recognized for its history and special value.
