Ellen's Acres was a fun American animated TV show for young kids. It first aired on Cartoon Network in the US. In the United Kingdom, the show was seen on Cartoonito. Animation Collective made the series. It started on September 29, 2006, but stopped airing on February 5, 2007. The show is about a super imaginative five-year-old girl named Ellen. She goes on amazing adventures in her mind. Her parents own a hotel called Emerald Acres in Nevada. That's where the show gets its name!

How the Show Works

Each episode of Ellen's Acres starts with Ellen telling a story. She describes an adventure she had in her imagination. Then, she says, "Actually...", and the scene changes. You see a desert area. Ellen then explains she just got off the bus from school. She says goodbye to Mateo, her bus driver, who you don't see.

Next, Ellen greets her friend, a tire. She also carries a feather duster. These are her special tools for adventures. She takes them to the hotel offices. Her parents ask about school. Ellen then tells them about her first imaginary adventure. After that, she sees what her parents are doing. Maybe they are looking for a fossil or fixing a broken fan. This gives Ellen new ideas for more imaginary adventures. These new adventures are often based on chores she is asked to do.

Ellen

Ellen is a five-year-old girl. She moved to Nevada with her mom and dad. She has a very active imagination. Ellen has orange hair and a gap in her front tooth. She wears a light green T-shirt with a daisy. She also wears a denim skirt and mismatched socks. One sock has green stripes, and the other has red and blue stripes. She wears black mary jane shoes. Ellen was born in Los Angeles, California. Her best playthings are a strong steel-reinforced tire and a soft feather duster. She calls them her "theatrical company" and "posse." Emily Corrao is the voice of Ellen.

Ellen's Parents

Ellen's mom is a sports lawyer. She used to be an agent. Ellen's dad was a professional skateboarder. He is also an amateur geologist. After his sports career, they decided to settle down. They moved to the desert near mines, about forty miles from Tonopah, Nevada. Together, they run the Emerald Acres Hotel. Evelyn Lanto is the voice of Mom. Marc Thompson is the voice of Dad.

Cooter and Connie

Cooter and Connie are very important to the Emerald Acres Hotel. Cooter is the handyman who fixes things. Connie is the maid in charge of cleaning. Vibe Jones voices Connie. Michael Alston Bailey is the voice of Cooter.

Mateo

Mateo is Ellen's bus driver. You never see him on the show. He drops Ellen off at the hotel at the start of every episode.
