Ellisville got its name from its founder, a person named Levi D. Ellis.
Where is Ellisville?
Ellisville is in the northwestern part of Fulton County. It sits on the west side of the Spoon River. The Spoon River is a smaller river that flows south into the Illinois River.
The village is about 19 miles (31 km) northwest of Canton. It is also about 15 miles (24 km) northeast of Bushnell.
