Elmer Thomas Lake is a beautiful lake located in Comanche County, Oklahoma, in the United States. This lake sits right on the edge of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and the Fort Sill military base.
The lake is named after Elmer Thomas (1876–1965). He was an important lawyer and politician from Oklahoma. A politician is someone who works in government, making decisions for the public. Elmer Thomas lived in Lawton and served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1922 to 1926. Later, he became a U.S. Senator and served until 1950.
Little Medicine Creek feeds into Elmer Thomas Lake. The lake covers about 334 acres (135 hectares). It is mainly used as a fun place for people to relax and enjoy outdoor activities.

LETRA offers exciting water slides for a splashy good time. You can also rent boats to explore the lake. There are ramps available if you bring your own boat.

On the wildlife refuge side of the lake, there are two fishing piers. These are perfect spots to try and catch some fish. You can also find picnic areas around the lake. These are great for enjoying a meal outdoors with family and friends.
