Enard Bay is a big, quiet bay on the coast of Scotland. It's found in the northwest part of Ross and Cromarty, in the Scottish Highlands. This beautiful bay is about 10.5 miles northwest of a town called Ullapool.
The entrance to the bay is about 4.5 miles wide. It stretches from a point called Rubna Na CòiGeach (also known as Ru Coygach) on the Rubha Mòr peninsula to Rubna Na Brèige (also known as Kirkaig point) in the east.

What Towns Are Near Enard Bay?
The coast of Enard Bay has a few small communities. The main town nearby is Lochinver. It is located in an inlet on the northwest side of the bay.
Exploring the Geography of Enard Bay
Enard Bay is bordered by the Rhuba Mòr peninsula. This peninsula runs from the northwest to the southeast. South of Rhuba Mòr, you can find the Summer Isles. These islands are part of the old area called Argyll.
On the western side of Enard Bay, there is an inlet that connects to Achnahaird Bay. Achnahaird Bay has a large, white sandy beach. East of Achnahaird Bay is Garvie Bay, which also has a small sandy beach. A bit further east, you'll find the small Lag na Saille inlet.
Polly Bay is located even further east and north. It is close to a small, rocky place called Green Island. North of Polly Bay is a sea loch called Loch an Èisg Brachaidh. This loch is west of a group of small islands.
Islands in Enard Bay
Enard Bay has several small islands. The biggest one is Eilean Mòr. It is located in the northeast corner of the bay. Fraochlan Island is the next smallest, found less than a quarter-mile north. After that comes Eilean Mòineseach. Green Island is a small island in the southeast part of the bay.
Rivers and Sea Lochs
Many small, fast-flowing streams empty into Enard Bay. The largest of these is the River Polly. It flows into the Polly Bay inlet.
Two larger sea lochs are located north of Enard Bay. These are Loch Inver and the much bigger Loch Kirkaig.
