Eneas is a small area, like a neighborhood, in the town of San Sebastián, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 996 people lived there. It is known as a "barrio" in Puerto Rico.
History of Eneas
When we talk about the history of Eneas, we are also talking about the history of Puerto Rico. After the Spanish–American War in 1898, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This happened because of a special agreement called the Treaty of Paris of 1898. Puerto Rico then became an "unincorporated territory" of the U.S. This means it is part of the U.S. but does not have all the same rights as a state.
In 1899, the U.S. government did a count of all the people in Puerto Rico. This count is called a census. They found that the combined population of Eneas and a nearby area called Magos was 1,003 people.

Understanding Barrios and Sectors
In Puerto Rico, a "barrio" is like a district or a large neighborhood. These barrios are then divided into even smaller areas called sectores. Think of a sector as a smaller part of a neighborhood.
The names of these sectors can be different. Some are simply called "sector," while others might be called "urbanización" (which means urbanization or housing development), "reparto" (a type of land division), "barriada" (a smaller neighborhood), or "residencial" (a residential area).
