English River 66 is a special area of land in Ontario, Canada. It is known as a First Nations reserve. This land is next to a small community called Mammamattawa.

The reserve is found where the Kabinakagami River flows into the Kenogami River. It is one of two reserves belonging to the Constance Lake First Nation. The total size of English River 66 is about 31 square kilometers (or 3,108 hectares).

History of English River 66

In 1884, a trading post was set up by the Hudson's Bay Company. This post was located where the Kenogami and Kabinakagami Rivers meet. People called it the English River Post. This was because the Kenogami River was also known as the English River.

The English River First Nation was an important group of Indigenous people. They are the main ancestors of today's Constance Lake First Nation. In 1912, a reserve was created for them just north of the trading post. This land is still part of the Constance Lake First Nation's territory today. It is known as the English River 66 Indian Reserve.
