Enrique Serna (born on January 11, 1959) is a famous Mexican writer. He was born in Mexico City.
Before he became a full-time author, he wrote scripts for Mexican TV shows called soap operas. He also wrote life stories of popular Mexican people and worked in advertising. In 2003, a very famous writer named Gabriel García Márquez said that Serna was one of the best Mexican short story writers.
Enrique Serna's books have been translated into many languages, like French, Italian, German, English, and Portuguese. Today, he writes a monthly article for a well-known Mexican cultural magazine called Letras Libres.
